November Activities

Near the end of November we finished up the endless parade of Andrew's 4th birthday parties and celebrated Thanksgiving and a trip to see Santa on the Polar Express. Here are a few pictures:
While heating up the turkey, we all went outside to stalk targets with BB and pellet guns. With some help from GrandPa, Ben did real well.

Andrew is still just a little too short... but he had fun

The whole team stalking the paper target...
By the way, no one hit my van!

Ben, Andrew and their Cousin of some order removed.

That next Thursday we headed up north to Williams Arizona to go see Santa on the Polar Express: www.thetrain.com/polarexpress. We went with the Neighbor family and had a fantastic time.

On the next day we headed south and east to the Payson area to go find out own Christmas Tree. We had a nice time driving back roads from Flagstaff and swam in the motel pool. On Saturday we drove up to the rim and found the region that we had a cutting permit for and started driving the back roads. We were the ONLY minivan on the snow being passed by SUV's and Pickups. That Honda did great! After wondering through the snow for about 40 minutes we found the perfect, if a bit tall tree. We lopped off the top 2/3 and still ended up with around 15 feet. Just fit on the roof rack.

Check out this blog for a Pre-Christmas entry to see how it looks when decorated.
All and all, a good start to the Holiday season!
